Never mind the title, I am not talking about ‘I love you’ which makes a woman’s head swoon. The male ego is famed among various species but what we hear very little of is female pride. A woman can be stubborn, dig in her heels and bring the strongest men to bend to her will (which smart men allow just to let peace reign). Ever seen a couple quarrel and then it later comes to light that the woman was at fault? She usually swells up and it takes the amazing grace of God for her to mumble a concession, “you were right.” Even so, it is not even a proper apology but what can the man do? He takes what he gets except if he is asking for trouble.

This is not to say that all women are a troublesome, arrogant bunch but they can be sha (lol!). It takes a lot for a woman to agree that she is wrong because our intuition is usually dead on; we are not used to being wrong but women must train themselves to apologize. You know why? ‘I’m sorry’ never gets too much.
Sincerity and humility lubricate all relationships and those three words capture these virtues perfectly. Never let your ego stop you from enjoying a beautiful relationship. No matter how much it pinches you, accept where you have missed it.
At the same time, never get tired of accepting his apology. Just as you get it wrong sometimes, so does he. Don’t go complaining, “This is the same thing you did last time.” Leave what is in the past to remain in the past and chances are that in the same way when you muster the courage to apologize on rare occasions, he will readily accept your apology. Relationships blossom based on reciprocity.
