The Abia State Police Command says it has arrested suspected members of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for being in possession of Biafra currency.

Commissioner of Police in the State Anthony Ogbizi disclosed this while addressing journalists at the weekend in Umuahia, the state capital.

Ogbizi vowed that those arrested would be made to face the full wrath of the law.

He said, “These IPOB members were arrested with Biafra currency, so when we say that IPOB has gone beyond a particular stage, the public may seem to disbelieve us because of their propaganda.

“Gradually you are seeing it, these three IPOB members were caught with the Biafra currency”.
